The Royal Gorge and the Winery at Holy Cross Abbey

It was a fantastic day.... we spent most of it at the Royal Gorge.... and then we went to the Winery at the Holy Cross Abbey... which was superb! Unfortunately the church was closed and we only got to taste the wine.... :)

I got to ride a carousel at the Royal Gorge..... you can actually spend a day there with all there is to do. Ken and Dixie took the tram way across the Gorge while Tom and I sat and enjoyed the view of the Gorge, the breeze and the atmosphere! It was lovely! I met a couple from Norway (my biological father's parents were from there) and I took their pictures and a movie of their son on this bungee thingee that I'm going to email them.....

Enjoy the pictures............. we start home in the morning..... across Kansas U G H !

Greetings from Canon City by the Royal Gorge

More Pictures from the Million Dollar Highway

Here's more pictures taken today on the Million Dollar Highway

Million Dollar Highway

We left Grand Junction this morning and headed towards Durango where we are tonight.
We drove the Million Dollar Highway and oh my goodness! Beautiful scenery and scary drop offs!
And we stopped at a Ute Indian Museum and I was pleased to get another Carlos Nakia cd to my music collection. I love the way he plays his Native American Flute Music!
